I’m Laura.

Hi! I am Laura, and I have been making soap since 2024. I am the wife of a Pastor serving in Western Minnesota. We live at the parsonage (super fancy word for house the congregation supplies for the Pastor and his family to live in)

This hobby (and now business-eek!) started as working through the grief of miscarriages. In June, my first pregnancy was twins, and were miscarried. Then September and November gave miscarriages 3 and 4. This gave the name of Four White Robes, because even though the first four children of ours died in the womb, we hold to the belief that King David had about his seven day old son who died before he could be named and circumcised, that David would return to him (2 Samuel 12:23), and we will return to them when Jesus returns.

Faith is super important to us, so we do have a “Biblical” line of soaps. Basically, taking themes from the Bible and soap-ifying them. This hobby is kindof like my baking for Sunday morning Bible Study. I like to bake, but my husband and I don’t need to eat a loaf of banana bread every time I bake. So also, with the soap, I love to make soap, but we don’t need all of that soap that a batch makes.

We are expecting our fifth child in late November, 2025.
